Leading video games developer and publisher Namco Hometek Inc. has just released the intro movie for ACE COMBAT 5. The movie introduces some of the game’s main characters, including a no nonsense squadron leader, an observant journalist and a brave female trainee.  It also reveals the game’s intriguing storyline and thrilling mission yet to come, in which players assume the role of a male fighter pilot called into action with a new squadron to protect the nation of Osea and defend the hostile skies.

ACE COMBAT 5 blends highly realistic graphics and dog fighting action with the intensity and regimen of squadron command to offer the most explosive title in the Ace Combat series.  Offering more than 50 licensed planes and a compelling storyline with more than 30 missions, players are tested to the fullest with air-to-air combat, air-to-ground fighting, air-to-sea assaults, rescue, recon and more.  With the addition of Wingman Command, players can issue mid-mission directives to plan and execute group attacks with fellow squadron members. Players also have access to in-game radio communications with their squadrons and enemies, adding to the realism and intensity of the game’s dynamic battle sequences. ACE COMBAT 5 will soar to new heights in Fall 2004.
