The Sony Conference only showed some of Gran Turismo HD but no one minds early impressions.
Because of the small amount of coverage we can only comment on details known so far and the graphics/audio. Graphically Gran Turismo, the series as a whole, has been as I said in the podcast "One class above all other games" and it continues improvement in Gran Turismo HD by having a much better looking crowd - No more cardboard, reactions, waving, everything. The cars themselves look perfect as usual, the tracks also look smother and great as always. Menu's look very slick as well, looking very simple and very easy to navigate. Tree's also looked much improved and not cardboard-like.
Although we were unable to hear much audio with the speaker talking about the game, we could notice a substantial upgrade with the sound of cars which is a nice thing. Expect a bigger soundtrack as well.
We don't know much about Gran Turismo HD but it already looking like a great game. With a date "soon after PS3 launch" and great graphics, already Gran Turismo HD is looking like a promising title.
