Finally, we have a date set for the release of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, an RPG that has been one of the most anticipated games for the Xbox 360 since its announcement late last year. For years PC fans have enjoyed the immersive world that Elder Scrolls creates for gamers. Now lucky Xbox 360 owners have the chance to get their hands on this next-generation RPG title from Bethesda Softworks as early as March 20, 2006.
Some information has been released on what Oblivion will offer. Firstly, the game lets you choose from 10 different races, and then lets you customize your main character’s look with many different sliders. The game also lets the player choose from third or first person views. So, gamers who are more accustomed to playing first person games will find it much easier to explore the world in first person, while third person fans will probably stick with that5 view.
On the technical side, Oblivion will have smooth and high frame rates that support amazing graphics. Every detail will jump out and scream next-gen. Furthermore, the AI in NPC characters has also been tweaked to make them feel more random and realistic.
Though the release date of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been pushed back numerous times, fans of the series and all Xbox owners should be delighted when it hits stores in mid March. It will offer great graphics, gameplay, and countless possibilities. Look for the review in the coming months.
