Need for Speed: Underground 2

The first NfS:U was a pretty great game. The graphics, soundtrack and gameplay made it a classic in no-time. That time is over. Read on, my friend, to learn more about it.

I don't care if EA becomes mad at me, I'm going to tell you the truth about NfS:U2. I started the game, and found it ugly. I set the graphics to high, and everything was turned on. Yet, the game remained ugly. I have no clue what EA did, but it looks worse than NfS:U, even with everything on, and turned to the max.
In the first game, it was hard to see where to go. Several times you crashed, because you went the wrong way, or because you didn't see something coming. This time, it's even worse. I crashed even more, and not just because of the graphics. The controls are horrible too, to put it like that. The cars seem to react slow, and I was forced to play it with a keyboard. The game refused to set up my gamepad properly, so I could kiss vibration and analog sticks goodbye.
Another things I hate, is the music. In the previous part, there wasn't only R&B songs, but also techno, rock, punrock and metal. This is limited now. You'll be mostly listening to rap and R&B. If I wanted that, I'd have bought GTA: SA EA, not NfS:U2, thank you very much.

Is the game only made out of bad things? No, it's not completely wasted. There are a few things I enjoy. The first thing is the interactive mode. You can just pick a car, and race around in the city. No missions, no limits, just like playing GTA, but this time NfS-style. The career mode also changed, because you don't just get missions. You'll have to drive around the city, looking for them. This gives a bit more touch to the whole career, so it's not just playing mission after mission.
You'll get the missions by SMS or phone. Someone will call you, or send you a message, asking you if you are up for something. This can be a sprint, time attack, drag, drift etc. Of course, you'll have to accept, because else there isn't a thing to do in the city.

And that's pretty much Need for Speed: Underground 2 in a nutshell. If you want to play more NfS, stick with the first version, because this one isn't worth it. EA, what did you do to this game. Or, as my friend said the other day: "This game looks like it's made by a bunch of amateurs."
