Welcome to GameBurst!
GameBurst has been online since May 2003 it was founded by myself and 3 friends - Chewie, CrazyC and Morts. We had worked together previously on another gaming site called StoneCrick but we wanted to do things differently which is why GameBurst was born. The site is coded by myself using XHTML, PHP and MySQL and uses a bespoke Content Management System that allows the staff to focus on the content rather than the code. The GameBurst community is growing daily and we have recently taken on a new staff member (Mr.X) to ensure we can keep the content flowing.
We aim to become one of the best gaming communities on the web by bringing the latest gaming news, reviews, previews, cheats, walkthroughs, interviews, articles and a whole lot more! The important thing for us is to build a community - although we run the site we are veryto suggestions for improvement from our members.
As well as staff content we will also be allowing anyone who signs up (which is FREE) to contribute to the site. This means members will be able to submit content like news, reviews, previews etc. In return, for every piece of content that's submitted to the site, members will be rewarded GameBurst Tokens. A members token count shows how much they have contributed to the community and we aim to reward members based on their token counts (more details will be released on this).
